Deepchill™ Ice Storage Silo

Sunwell's patented ice storage and distribution system utilizes high capacity storage tanks fitted with a blade harvester capable of discharging deepchill™ ice crystals at rates of up to 15 tons per hour. The Storage Silo provides a very cost-effective option for storage of ice, as it requires no refrigeration and can be located remote from the Slurry Ice Generator if necessary. The Storage Silo is generally sized to enable storage of approximately 2 days of ice production, thus allowing variations in daily ice requirements and continuous operation of the Slurry Ice Generator. The Storage Silo is constructed of fibre-reinforced epoxy and insulated to minimize heat gain. The Ice Harvester at the top of the Storage Silo allows controlled delivery of ice at varying rates, depending on the size (diameter) of the Harvester used. Sunwell's Storage Silos are designed with storage capacities of between 7 and 100 tons.
