The perfect Deepchill™ ice
crystal is created through Sunwell's unique process of forming tiny
crystals within a liquid. These perfect, round crystals have superior
flow and cooling properties, making them easy to distribute through
piping and over product, allowing them to flow into crevices and
provide greater surface contact and faster cooling. Deepchill™
provides the following advantages:
Adaptable Ice - Crystal
size (0.25 mm to 0.5 mm), ice fraction (0% to 100%), temperature (0 to
-30 °C), and salinity level (0% and up) are easily adaptable, making
Deepchill™ suitable for any application.
Efficient Cooling - As
dry crystals or as slurry ice, the unique properties of the perfect
Deepchill™ crystals allow them to provide rapid, even cooling at any
desired temperature without causing freezing or freezer burn.
Superior Protection -
Smooth, round crystals do not damage product and prevent skin
discoloration, unlike other forms of sharp, jagged ice (flake ice,
shell ice, cracked ice, etc.).
Energy Efficient
Production, Storage & Distribution - Deepchill™ is produced
in a small, highly efficient crystallizer, then stored in a fully
sealed thermos-like storage tank. It is then delivered using energy
efficient pumps through an insulated pipe distribution network. No
energy-intensive grinding or raking systems are required.
Automated Delivery -
Easy delivery of measured amounts of pumpable ice to multiple points of use,
reducing labor (no shoveling) and ice wastage and providing even
application and better preservation control.

Sealed environment means no external contamination.
Low Maintenance - Very
simple design, with low level of corrosion due to the sealed,
